Winter Diaper Drive benefiting LifeWire’s domestic violence shelter
The Bothell Family Cooperative Preschool is hosting a winter Diaper Drive from Dec 3rd - Dec 15th, benefiting LifeWire’s domestic violence shelter. BFCP members can bring all sizes of diapers & wipes to the preschool, and put them in the donation bin in the mudroom. Open packages welcome!

- Sign up charts at school on class bulletin boards.
Sharing - Continue to bring items from home to share with Teacher Kathy and Teacher Kelly during arrival time. Suggested items for December include anything in a box or things with lights.
Dramatic Play - Holiday home, gift wrapping station with lots of boxes, tape and paper!

On Tuesday Sept. 29th our 3/4’s and Pre-K classes went on a field trip to visit our neighbor Kory Schue’s home and do some good ole fashioned apple pickin’. After walking 2-3 blocks hand in hand we arrived at her beautiful garden adorned with fusion glass art depicting dragonflies, peacocks, suns, and much more.

October Class Sharing
Starting in October, an informal "sharing" activity will take place as children arrive at school. Before the children go inside the building, they may share an item with teacher Kathy and other classmates that are arriving around the same time. Sharing is an opportunity for children to practice listening to and talking with a small group of peers.

Over the past month, teachers have shared info about the Help Me Grow program from Within Reach Washington. Help Me Grow Washington (HMG-WA) is dedicated to helping parents understand and support their child’s development. Parents often wonder if their child is on track, what milestones they should be reaching, and how they compare to other children in their same age group. HMG-WA helps parents assess if their children are preschool ready and developmentally on track.
