We have now been in this new rhythm for over a month. It is not only our young children beginning school but we, the parents/caregivers, are also returning to the seat of the student. Our shared learning process is a key element of what makes attending a cooperative preschool special.

What a fantastic trip we had to the Farm at Swan Lake! Was it muddy? Of course! Was it rainy? You bet! Did that stop us? No way!

Thanks to everyone for a great week first week of school. We were so happy to see how well the kids (and parents) are getting in the preschool routine. A big thank you to our teachers. Next week at BFCP is soft "start week" for students are parents. New parents may wonder, other than sounding super cozy, what does a soft start entail? Soft start is simply a week when children only attend class on his or her parents' work day.

This months curriculum theme included turkeys and the begining of November brought the 2/3s, 3/4s and Preschool classes their first homework assignment. The kids were sent home with a turkey to decorate any way they wanted.

Thursday, October 15th, 2015 the 2/3 class headed to The Farm at Swans Trail. The whole class, dressed in coats and boots, met at the farm and were taken on a fun filled tour of the farm. The class started out by going through the hay maze inside the big red barn.

On January 12th, 2015 both the 3/4 and Pre-K classes went on a field trip to visit the Burke Museum. This trip coincided perfectly with this month’s class themes, which are dinosaurs, volcanoes, and winter.
